Our communion emerges from the contributions of all people of faith and therefore seeks to include persons and perspectives from the Communion’s rich diversity in every aspect of work together.
Solidarity with Members
Churches are often prophetic voices, especially in the face of injustices and in the midst of conflict.
The WCRC accompanies its member churches, coming alongside in solidarity, lifting global voices in prayer, providing critical resources, raising awareness of lesser known situations, and creating connections of support.
Full and Just Participation
Our vision of a just communion is one where those in power relinquish their authority and consciously embrace the bodies and and hear the voices of those who have been excluded from full participation in the community.
The WCRC particularly opens itself to be challenged and enriched by the engagement of:
- Youth and young adults
- Women
- Indigenous peoples
- Persons discriminated against because of race
- Dalits and ethnic minorities
- People with disabilities
- People within the LGBTQ community
Member Churches
Member churches grouped into geographic regions, with several of which have regional councils. Regional Councils play a pivotal role in strengthening communion between the churches by providing spaces for dialogue and action.
