27th General Council of the World Communion of Reformed Churches
The 27th General Council of the World Communion of Reformed Churches will be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, in October 2025, hosted by the Church of Christ in Thailand with support from other Asian members.
Originally postponed due to COVID-19, the 2025 Council coincides with the 150th anniversary of the Communion’s founding. The event will celebrate this milestone while addressing post-pandemic challenges.
Guided by the theme “Persevere in Your Witness” (Hebrews 12:1), the Council calls participants to stay faithful to Christ and work toward abundant life for all. It will also uphold the gender balance established in previous councils.

WCRC 27th General Council 2025 Worship Book & Bible Studies
The 27th General Council Worship Book and Bible Studies are now available. The Worship Book contains the liturgies, prayers, and songs that will guide the council’s worship, offered in all six official languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Korean, and Indonesian.
The Bible Studies provide the scriptural foundation for our work together, inviting reflection, dialogue, and discernment across the communion. Like the Worship Book, they are available in all languages of the council.
Both resources are central to our shared journey of faith during the council and beyond.

We gather as one global communion to give thanks for 150 years of faith, fellowship, and witness through the WCRC. This service celebrates our shared journey—honouring the past, rejoicing in the present, and renewing our commitment to God’s mission. Through prayer, song, Word, and sacrament, we rejoice in the unity of Christ’s church and the Spirit’s work among us.
From Leipzig to Chiang Mai – Publication
This publication traces the journey of the WCRC and its antecedents from the period before Leipzig to the 27th General Council in Chiang Mai, marking our 150th anniversary.
