DOING THEOLOGY FOR TRANSFORMATION

Reformed and always reforming, the WCRC does theology contextually.

The Unfinished Agenda of the Reformation

Christians and churches all over the globe are inspired by the call to join into God’s continuous reforming of the church and transforming of the world. The WCRC is committed to this process by:

Bringing key insights of the Reformation into the present tense, especially considering the intrinsic connection between communion and justice

Learning from theologies that liberate and affirm life, utilizing the history and traditions of the global Reformed movement

Encouraging the renewal of Christian worship and spiritual life within the Reformed tradition

Focus Areas

Anti-Authoritarianism

We confront rising authoritarianisms and how they engage with nationalism, racism, and casteism to disenfranchise and impoverish the most vulnerable.

Engaging Youth

The WCRC engages youth theologically through the Global Institute of Theology, the Lombard Prize, and the internship program.

Ecumenical Dialogues

The WCRC purposefully engages in theological dialogues with other Christian world communions that in a space of transformative theology.

The Global Institute of Theology

The Global Institute of Theology nurtures and encourages the work of young theologians and scholars from around the world. This intensive short-term academic  program is designed to give theological students and faculty an opportunity to learn, teach, and do theology in an inter-contextual and ecumenical way.

Reformed World

Reformed World is an international journal published by the WCRC that provides a forum for sharing and debating theological studies and prophetic witness that seek to engage and transform the realities of our time.
