Prayer Requests

Mozambique

In the face of devastating violence and loss of life in Mozambique, the global Christian community is being urged to come together in prayer. The World Communion of Reformed Churches (WCRC) has joined the All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC) in calling for churches across the world to unite in support of Mozambique, a nation now grappling with grief.

The situation in Mozambique has left countless families mourning loved ones, while communities struggle to comprehend the senseless violence that continues to plague the country. The call for prayer resonates deeply in a time when healing and peace seem desperately out of reach.

Rev. Dr. Fidon Mwombeki, General Secretary of the AACC, made a heartfelt appeal earlier this week, reminding believers of Christ’s commandment to love one another, particularly in times of trial. “Let us lift the grieving families and ask God’s comforting presence to envelop them,” Mwombeki urged, calling for unity among churches throughout Africa.

WCRC is amplifying this call globally, inviting its member churches and the broader faith community to join in a moment of collective prayer. Rev. Dr Setri Nyomi, General Secretary of the WCRC, emphasized the need for solidarity, saying, “This is a time to stand together, to support our brothers and sisters in Mozambique through prayer and compassion.”

The message is clear: in the face of tragedy, there is power in unity. The global Christian community is now being called to act, not just with words but through the shared strength of prayer.
