The World Communion of Reformed Churches (WCRC) is now accepting applications for the
Stewards’ Programme, a unique opportunity to contribute to the 27th General Council, set to take
place from October 14 to 23, 2025, in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
We are seeking 40 stewards—20 from Thailand and 20 from our global membership—to help
facilitate this historic gathering. Stewards will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of
the General Council while experiencing meaningful engagement with participants from across the
global Reformed community.
What Stewards Will Do:
Act as key points of contact for delegates, staff, and visitors.
Support the coordination of programmes, worship sessions, exposure trips, and group activities.
Participate in the international youth caucus, held during the Council.
Experience vibrant ecumenical fellowship with church leaders and young people from around the
world.
Eligibility Criteria:
Age: 18-30
Skills: English fluency (and ideally proficiency in another Council language: French,
Spanish, Indonesian, Korean, German, or Thai).
Experience: Background in administrative/logistical work is an advantage.
Membership: Active involvement in a WCRC member church, with endorsement from
church leadership.
Commitment: Willingness to work collaboratively and dedicate long hours.
Stewards are volunteers, but travel subsidies may be available for those whose church cannot fully
support their participation. Accommodation and meals during the event will be covered by the
General Council.
How to Apply:
Submit your completed application form to your church denomination by the internal deadline set
by your church. Church denominations must send endorsed applications to the WCRC General Council
Coordination Office by January 31, 2025.
Successful applicants will be notified by March 31, 2025.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance for young people to develop leadership skills, build lasting
connections, and contribute to the life of the global Reformed family. We encourage all WCRC
member churches to share this opportunity widely and identify enthusiastic candidates.
