Are you ready for a journey that will transform your faith, deepen your understanding of theology, and connect you with a global community? The 2025 Global Institute of Theology (GIT), organized by the World Communion of Reformed Churches (WCRC), offers just that! From 1-14 October 2025, join students from around the world in Chiang Mai, Thailand, for a unique chance to live, learn, and engage in theological reflection on today’s most pressing global challenges.

Theme: “From Creed to Confession: Nicaea to Accra”

In 2025, we commemorate the 1700th anniversary of the Nicene Creed, a foundational Christian statement of faith. Under the theme “From Creed to Confession: Nicaea to Accra,” participants will reflect on the church’s historical role in both complicity and resistance to imperial power. Central to this reflection is the Accra Confession, which calls churches to see economic justice as a faith imperative and challenges us to act against systems of exploitation and inequality.

This is more than academic reflection—it’s about discovering how we, as faith leaders, can be agents of transformation in a world facing economic and environmental crises. GIT is your opportunity to engage with these crucial issues in a global context.

Exclusive Access to the WCRC General Council

Participants in the GIT will have the unique privilege of attending the 26th General Council of the WCRC, held concurrently in Chiang Mai. As observers, you’ll witness how the world’s largest Reformed body makes key decisions and hear from influential global leaders in faith and justice. This is your chance to connect with the heart of global Reformed Christianity!
