The World Communion of Reformed Churches (WCRC) is inviting young leaders from across its global fellowship to apply for the 2026 Internship Programme, a 12-month placement at the WCRC offices in Hannover, Germany, beginning in February 2026.
Designed for individuals aged 30 or younger from WCRC member churches, the programme offers an enriching opportunity to gain hands-on experience in theology, mission, justice, and communications within an international ecumenical setting. Interns will work closely with WCRC staff and participate in projects that promote Christian unity and justice in the world.
The internship, sponsored by the Evangelisches Missionswerk (EMW), covers most major expenses—including travel, housing, medical insurance, and a modest stipend—while also encouraging support from the intern’s home church or community.
Reflecting on her experience, former intern Meta Ginting (Indonesia) shared:
“Joining the WCRC gave me hands-on experience in the ecumenical movement and showed me how young adults can help shape the church’s global mission.”
Another past intern, Aiko Sumichan (Indonesia), added:
“The internship pushed me past my limits, helped me discover new talents, and gave me the opportunity to meet wonderful people from around the world. It was truly life-changing.”
Through the internship, participants engage with global issues such as economic, gender, racial, and climate justice, while contributing to WCRC’s communications and mission initiatives. The experience also prepares them to return home equipped to serve their churches and communities with renewed vision and practical skills.
Applicants must submit a completed application form, curriculum vitae, and letter of motivation through their national church for endorsement.
Application deadline: 15 December 2025
Endorsed applications should be sent to:
