Gracious God,

Today we remember the people of Ukraine, four years into a conflict that has brought suffering, displacement, and fear. Families have been torn apart, children have grown up knowing only uncertainty, and communities struggle to rebuild amid loss and hardship. Yet in the midst of devastation, your Spirit continues to give courage and resilience to those who endure.

We pray for all who are affected — for those who grieve the loss of loved ones, for those who are injured or traumatised, for those who seek shelter, warmth, and sustenance. May your comfort embrace them, and may hope rise where despair threatens to take hold.

We pray also for those who serve — aid workers, volunteers, neighbours, and communities who provide care and support in times of need. Strengthen them with wisdom, patience, and love. May every act of compassion shine as a sign of your presence in the world.

Lord, guide us all to work for peace and reconciliation, to uphold human dignity, and to be instruments of hope and healing. Through Christ our Lord,

Amen.
