Media accreditation is now open for the 25th General Council of the World Communion of Reformed Churches (WCRC), to be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, from 14 to 23 October 2025.
About the General Council
The General Council is the highest decision-making body of the World Communion of Reformed Churches, meeting approximately every seven years. The 25th General Council will convene under the theme:
This General Council is of historic importance, as it coincides with the 150th anniversary of the Reformed family’s global witness. Delegates from over 100 countries, representing 100 million Christians, will gather for discernment, worship, and action.
Hosted in Chiang Mai, Thailand, the General Council will feature:
- Daily worship and celebration of Reformed identity
- Plenary sessions and discernment groups
- Contextual immersion programmes with local communities
- Special commemorative events marking the 150th anniversary
- Focus on Issues of Global Concern
Media Accreditation
Accreditation is required for all journalists and media representatives who wish to cover the Council, whether onsite or online.
Accredited media will have access to:
- Press briefings and media conferences
- Keynote addresses, plenaries, and worship (designated sections)
- Interviews upon request
Terms & Conditions
- Accreditation is granted only by the World Communion of Reformed Churches; applications through other organizations will not be considered valid.
- Accredited media must comply with WCRC’s onsite protocols.
- The WCRC does not provide subsidies, per diems, or travel allowances. All expenses are the responsibility of the applicant or their media organization.
