The World Communion of Reformed Churches (WCRC) will hold the installation service of the Rev. Philip Vinod Peacock as its general secretary on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the Reformed Church in Hannover, Germany.
Peacock assumed office as general secretary on Jan. 1, 2026, becoming the first leader from Asia to serve in this role.
An ordained minister of the Church of North India, Peacock previously served as the WCRC’s executive secretary for justice and witness, where he led global work on economic and ecological justice rooted in the Reformed tradition. He holds a master of theology degree from Tamil Nadu Theological Seminary and has taught Dalit and feminist theology at Bishop’s College in Kolkata.
Elected unanimously by the WCRC Executive Committee in September 2025, Peacock brings a leadership style grounded in justice, inclusivity and listening to voices on the margins.
With more than 230 member churches in 107 countries, representing over 100 million Christians, the WCRC continues to witness to unity, justice and transformation in today’s world.
Churches, partners and friends around the world are warmly invited to join the installation service via livestream.
